Eat Great, Lose Weight!

fitness35006If you want to lose weight but don’t want to force yourself to eat tasteless, unsatisfying meals, do not despair! There are plenty of delicious options that you can whip up at home that will be kind to your waistline and your taste buds! One example is this diet chili recipe.

Ingredients:

1 lb. ground turkey (99% lean)
2 cloves garlic
28 oz. diced tomatoes (1 can)
1 c. water
14 oz. beans (1 can)
1 bell pepper
1 onion
2 stalks celery
2 tsp. chili power
1 tsp. cumin
salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

Brown turkey and garlic in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. When turkey is cooked through, put it in a large pot over medium heat with the tomatoes and water. Chop pepper, onion, and celery into one inch pieces (feel free to add more vegetables of your choice if desired) and add to turkey mixture, along with spices. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer for 2-3 hours, or until vegetables are soft. Serve with a sprinkle of fat free cheese or baked tortilla chips.
